  1. Mix all the ingredients well for the dough and keep it well covered in a warm place to rise for about 1 hour. The dough should be soft.
  2. After an hour, remove the dough and strike it well on the counter to release the air. Roll it out and cut the donuts using any cookie cutter or a medium sized lid of any bottle, one big and the other a small one.
  3. Keep them covered again for 40 mins at least for the second proofing. This step is the must. You must not skip this at any cost. Next comes the frying part. Fry them on a low to medium high heat for 3 to 5 minutes for each batch of 6 to 7 donuts at a time.
